[A.K.A. Lupin III]
The Rupan III, or Lupin III, stories are about the adventures of the
master thief Rupan and his companions. Among those in his gang are:
- Goemon Isikawa - this fellow is a samurai, by trade, with a really
sharp sword. He has mad a vow. If Rupan is to die, it will be by his
hand. Which basically means that he protects him at nearly every
turn.
- Chegan - a master gun user type person. Just as Rupan is a master
thief.
- Fujiko Mine - a girl with a gold fetish and part time member of
the gang. Seems quite adapt at sneaking about. Fujiko is also the
girlfriend and rival of Rupan.
Rupan and his gang [well, actually, mostly just Rupan] is being
constantly chased by Inspector Zenigata. The good inspector has made
it his life's work to capture and arrest Rupan.

There have been a number of Rupan III series and movies, under
the name of Lupin III or Tails of the Wolf, in the past.
Many of them were available from Streamline Pictures, however,
many of those seem to be out of print.
